Uriah from the Hebrew name אוּרִיָה ('Uriyah) which meant "Yahweh is my light". In the Old Testament this is the name of a Hittite warrior in King David's army, the first husband of Bathsheba. David desired Bathsheba so he placed Uriah in the forefront of battle so he would be killed.
